What Is Sewer Line Descaling?
Scale buildup narrows cast-iron sewer lines over time. Descaling removes it and restores flow.

Older cast-iron sewer lines often develop a layer of scale — mineral buildup that narrows the pipe and catches debris. Left alone, it leads to slow drains and recurring clogs.
Descaling removes that buildup to restore the line's full diameter. It's often paired with hydro jetting and a camera inspection so we can confirm the line is clean and flowing.
Not every line needs descaling, and not every line is a good candidate for it. We inspect first and tell you honestly whether it's the right approach for your situation.
